Kollenberg is a residential neighborhood in Sittard, Netherlands, which was used as the shooting location for the elite fictional neighborhood Zonnedael in the Flodder franchise. The first film and early TV episodes used actual street façades on Kollenberg to represent this upscale area. The scenes in the affluent street—such as SRV-wagon takeoffs, bicycle tires being slashed, and other iconic comedic moments were filmed right on streets like Ross-van-Lenneplaan and Kapeller Weg here in Kollenberg.
A spin-off series titled Kees Flodder! was filmed starting September 2025 in the Kollenberg neighborhood, brought the Flodder family back to its original Sittard filming grounds. Residents of Kollenberg were thrilled. Many described it as a “fun experience” and expressed pride in being able to say, “We live in the place where Flodder was filmed.” Some even swiftly responded to producers’ letters inviting them to welcome the film crew.
